Timbuk2 Elroy Bluetooth Smart Earbuds

Tangled earbuds suck!’ The new Elroy Smart Bluetooth Earbuds are different.  Founded by Rob Honeycutt and now promoted by crowd-funding site Kickstarter, the Elroy’s feature magnetic docking mounts that hold your earbuds secure when you’re not using them.  Additionally, Elroy lets you to answer calls or play music by removing the earbuds from the magnetic mounts.  You can end calls or pause music by attaching the earbuds to the Bluetooth unit.

The company has integrated the new W32 audio module Bluetooth technology from Bluegiga, which supports pairing up to seven devices. The Elroy includes a set of short earbuds, and there’s a 3.5mm jack if you want to use your own earbuds.  Go to Kickstarter and get the Elroy for a donation of $79, which is scheduled to ship in August.
