Coming first to Europe is Audi’s all new SQ5, a diesel-powered crossover that’s capable of 479 lb.-ft. of torque. In the states, Audi is debuting a new gasoline-powered version of the hot crossover at this year’s Detroit Auto Show.
Since we won’t be getting a diesel version, Audi’s including a boosted version of their supercharged 3.0-liter V6, good for 354 hp that’s paired to an 8-speed eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s reported that the SQ5 will go from 0 to 60 mph in the low 5-second range, and will have an electronically limited speed of 155 mph. There will be suspension upgrades to improve road-going prowess, as well as lower its stance.
Expect some exterior upgrades, too, including a more aggressive front fascia, 20-inch wheels and some pretty new colors including Estoril Blue and Panther Black. The inside will also sport Alcantara trim and aluminum brightwork.
