Connected Data Transporter (video)

Transporter

Late last year Connected Data’s Transporter, a private peer-to-peer storage solution, was revealed to the world through a Kickstarter campaign.  Today the company has begun fulfilling those orders.  Those who didn’t go the Kickstarter route can pre-order a Transporter from Adorama and Datavision currently, an you’ll be able to get one from Amazon, B&H Photo, J&R or PC Mall in the very near future.   Prices start at $199 should you wish to supply your own 2.5-inch HDD, and yo can also get a 1TB drive thrown in for 100 bucks more, and a 2TB version can be had for $399.

Transporter

What makes Transporter truly unique is the ability to communicate and share files in a peer-to-peer fashion with computers and other Transporter devices located anywhere in the world. This ability eliminates privacy concerns, recurring fees, and all complexity associated with syncing files over the Internet. In other words, a storage solution finally designed to match our modern, social lifestyles.
