If you are looking for a portable and cool means to get from A to B than the EcoReco M3 folding electric kick scooter is worth a look. You can fold the M3 in seconds and it weighs 34 pounds. It’s perfect transportation for school and business campuses.

The M3 is a low maintenance scooter in contrast with an electric bike. You don’t have to worry about oily chains, gears, flat tires and so on. It’s made of aluminum and stainless steel and features a robust build. The handlebar mast folding is a well-designed aluminum construction.

The rear-wheel motor powers the unit and the 36V 8ah LiFePO4 battery is underneath the platform giving it a very stable balance. Of course, solid rubber tires don’t get flats! The scooter also has an adjustable handlebar. On the handlebars to the right there is an LED which displays status like speed distance, odometer and battery charge. There’s a backlight for viewing in the evening.

The trigger-controlled throttle gives you control over how much power propels the scooter. The brake lever can be found on the left side. Folding the scooter requires no tools and snaps together in just a few seconds.

The M3 is a nice ride. If you’ve ever ridden a skateboard or a scooter you’ll be very happy with it. One of the advantages to riding this scooter is that it navigates small spaces with ease. To get started just step on and push off; the throttle doesn’t start until after you’ve gained some speed. This is actually a safety feature that can be enabled so that it reacts immediately.
Braking is good at slowing down but you probably want to shift your weight to the back to prevent skidding. The M3 is pretty quiet but there is a motor in there after all. While it is not quite as loud as a gas scooter, it still has a humming noise when you climb a hill.

The EcoRoco M3 electric kick scooter gets up to 20 mph and is almost maintenance free. That’s it’s small and light enough to carry and store anywhere is excellent. At a price of $999 you’ve got a good thing here.
