Trinity is an interesting kickstarter looking to provide an eco-friendly way to charge your USB devices on the fly. It uses the same wind turbine technology that we have all seen in a convenient & portable “mini turbine”. If the project comes to fruition it could be a great solution for those keeping an eye on their carbon footprint.
It’s main offering is versatility. Trinity folds together into a 12″ cylinder that you can carry with you wherever you go. It has a 15 watt generator and built in battery that holds a charge for later use.
To open the three blades you simply pull out the 11″ aluminum legs and arrange them in either a tripod configuration or laid flat depending on your circumstances. To close Trinity you push the legs back in and the blades close automatically. In a closed position the legs lock the blades and prevent them from opening.
Even if you’re not a clean energy enthusiast, Trinity still brings value to the table. It’s a great idea for camping trips, outdoor festivals, or a leisurely day at the park. It’s expected to start production in 2015. If the price is right I can see the Trinity becoming very popular. Personally, I’m excited about further developments in clean energy for individual use.
If you’re interested in backing this project, or more detailed information you can find it through their kickstarter campaign.
