You don’t need a $4000, complex backyard grill to cook amazing food. If you’re the sort of person whose veins pump marinade and rub, then the Dyna-Glo 4-Burner grill is your ticket.
Design-wise, it’s a beauty, and this stainless steel gas grill’s performance is outstanding. The Dyna-Glo DGE486SSP-D has a whopping 52,000 BTU’s, so it provides a ton of grilling power for cooking nearly any type of food.
There are multiple heat zones and 640-square inches of cooking space to use. You can grill up to 24 hamburgers at one time with this bad boy.
The lid is double-walled to minimize heat loss and improve the cooking efficiency of the burners. It also has stainless steel rod-heavy gage cooking grates, a warming rack and stainless steel heat tents, which flavor foods from vaporized fallen juices bringing that great BBQ taste while at the same time protect the 4 stainless steel straight burners.
Speaking of burners, the Dyna-Glo has stainless steel commercial grade straight burner tubes, which deliver 10,000 BTU’s each.
But we’re not done. The Dyna-Glo also has LP tank pullout system that allows for easy access to the propane tank from the front of the grill.
Couple that with a temperature gauge that allows for excellent temperature control, a side burner that delivers 12,000 BTU’s all by itself for those side dishes, and an easy push-button start electronic pulse ignition system that ensures quick and reliable ignition, and now you’re cooking with one of the best grills out there for the buck.
We put this grill through the mill. We cooked lamb, pork, steak, fish, veggies, potatoes and every side item we could think of (with the side burner), and the Dyna-Glo performed like a champ. The thing we liked most about it was that it distributes heat very evenly, much like a Weber Grill.
It also seared steak and fish with incredible control, and the lamb was restaurant-worthy. Additionally, it was extremely easy to start, and the temperature was very easy to maintain, both warm and hot. It also cools very quickly, probably faster than any grill we’ve tested. We assume this is due to the double-walled lid.
This cabinet style grill offers two doors, large side shelves with a tool holder, heavy-duty rolling casters, rubber grip control knobs and an optional universal rotisserie kit.
The Dyna-Glo DGE486SSP-D 4-Burner 52,000 BTU Propane Gas Grill with Side Burner comes with a one-year warranty, and sells for around $400-450 depending on the retailer.
Both Home Depot and Amazon offer the Dyna-Glo.
For probably the best grill out there for the money, turn to Dyna-Glo and their DGE486SSP-D model. You will not be disappointed.
