Used by several tour pros, the new Yonex V-Core Xi 100 tennis racquet is made for players with quick-speed strokes. Isometric technology provides this frame a 7% larger sweet spot, while a 4-point head light balance makes it nice and maneuverable.
It weighs a mere 11.1 ounces and it’s sturdy as hell. It also has the ability to create a ton of spin through its racquet head acceleration. High-density MicroCore material is also placed near the 10 and 2 o’clock head positions to increase spin potential and stability.
This is also a great racquet for the baseline player and the all-court player looking for precision, speed and spin. TheVCore Xi 100 updates the V Core 100 S with Xi Technology. This equates into a larger sweetspot along with more stability and power higher in the stringbed. Those who mark their game with a lot of topspin will enjoy more responsiveness near the tip of the frame.
During our test, from the baseline it had superior precision with a nice combo of stability and maneuverability. The head balance and swing-weight makes the Xi 100 very easyto swing fast so players can maximize racquet head speed for heavy top or back spin. The open 16×19 pattern creates a lively and comfy touch.
When we were at the net, the fast and light precision of this racquet made getting to a bullet-ball easy for quick exchanges, while the enlarged sweetspot and stable string patterns provided a very solid pop on the ball.
Serving with the Xi 100 is a pleasure. It whips through the air, and the hitting zone makes it a breeze to add more pace and additional spin.
This is a perfect frame for all-around players seeking precision and control.
